Phase 1 Complete, MS to Begin Workouts
June 14, 2020

The varsity team completed the district-mandated two weeks of Phase 1 requirements last week. We successfully followed all regulations and had no signs of Covid-19 symptoms from any players or coaches. Phase 2 will begin tomorrow which allows up to 50 people to gather together outside (only 10 still allowed if inside), as well as the sharing of equipment, as long as 6 feet of social distancing still takes place, which will allow us to begin passing footballs. The first week of workouts Team 61 had 89% team attendance and last week had 90% attendance!

With moving to Phase 2 we will also be starting one day-a-week Middle School workouts on the Auxiliary Field. Contact Coach Cassley to make sure you know what time you are to arrive to get checked in. All work will be done outside, make sure you bring your own bottle(s) of water!

Nate Hunter was able to once again win Team Black another Friday Challenge by completing the most bottle flips in 30 seconds, successfully doing to 25 times! Teams Grey & White tied for having the most players send in attempts with nine each.

A very important reminder that tonight at 6:30pm will be Team 61's MANDATORY Parent/Player Meeting on GoogleMeets. All parents and players were sent an email invitation with the link to access the meeting. Every player and at least one parent is required to login to learn the expectations for the season and to learn the details regarding how team workouts must take place starting TOMORROW!!!

This week will hopefully be the final week of at-home workouts if Team 61 is able to begin working out together again on June 1st!

May 17, 2020

Congratulations to our Team Challenge #6 winner, Drew Dossman, who blew away the entire team with his juggling abilities. We had 32 team members submit attempts at juggling, 31 of which combined to a total of 1 minute and 10 seconds. Drew was able to earn Team Orange another challenge victory by juggling for 5 minutes and 54 seconds straight!

Players- make sure to login this week to your SPADE GAMES team meeting, email invites were sent out last week!

Week 5 Challenge Winners
May 10, 2020

The week 5 challenge resulted in our first tie when both Matt Metzger and Drew Dossman were able to lay down and stand back up 18 times in a minute all while keep their hands behind their back. Both young men are on Team Orange; Team White had the highest number of attempts with nine team members sending in their videos.

All players should have heard from Coach Daulton last week to find out who they're matched up against for the 4th 9 weeks GPA contest. Be sure to check your email for several upcoming Google-Meet meetings that have been scheduled along with this week's workouts.

SPADE GAMES Draft Results
May 1, 2020

Eight of the fourteen seniors on Team 61 were selected as team captains for this year's SPADE GAMES. This morning they completed the annual SPADE GAMES draft, the results and teams are below. Congratulations to our first round draft choices: #1 overall pick Hunter Matheny (11), Nathan Hunter (11), Darren Byers (11), and Tayvon Miller (11). Let the games begin!

Week 3 Challenge Winner, SPADE GAMES Captains
April 26, 2020

Our week 3 challenge of fastest to complete 50 burpees was won by Connor Lafferty with an amazing time of 2 minutes and 7 seconds! Connor has worked his tail off while being at home, getting himself 7 pounds beyond his current body-weight gain goal for the off-season.

Unfortunately we learned last week that we will not be returning to the school building to complete the school year. This means two very important things, the first being all students must continue to complete and submit their school work online from home until the school year ends on May 21st. Secondly, it means our football May and summer schedule will almost certainly have to be modified. Important dates set for May are the SPADE GAMES draft on May 1st which will still take place (more info below). The mandatory Parent/Player meeting originally set for May 12th will likely need to be delayed until a more definite football start date is set by the OHSAA. The same goes for our helmet fitting which was originally set for May 26th. More info on these important dates will be communicated through email from Coach Daulton.

The SPADE GAMES draft will take place virtually Friday. All draft results will be posted online following the draft. Congratulations to the following seniors who will captain each of the four teams:
Team Orange: Quintin Lott & Matt Metzger
Team Black: Cole Bryan & Connor Lafferty
Team Grey: Jarod Black & Anthony Buckley
Team White: Tim Smith & Lane Stevens

Picture
Week 2 Challenge Winner
April 20, 2020

Congratulations to Hunter Matheny on winning this past Friday’s Workout Challenge by completing 110 exchanges while in the plank position! Two other young men who certainly deserve recognition are Dalton Stump who completed 103 and Connor Lafferty who completed 97!

Make sure to stay on top of all school work and continue to complete every day of the workout! If school resumes May 4th everyone must be prepared to return and pick up right where we left off! Please check your emails for the most recent message from Coach Daulton regarding important upcoming football dates!

Week 1 Challenge Winner
April 13, 2020

Congratulations to our week 1 challenge winner, Nate Hunter, on completing the week-ending challenge of 75 push-ups and 75 squats with the fastest time! Nate will receive a t-shirt for winning the challenge.

Remember that fall eligibility will still be based on the 4th 9 weeks grades like they always have been so make sure to continue to get all work turned in even though we are all still working from home!

Aces Earn Academic All-State Back-to-Back Seasons
January 10, 2019

The 2019 Amanda-Clearcreek High School football team were not only one of just 16 teams to make the second round of the Division V playoffs, but they were one of less than 100 teams to be named Academic All-Ohio! Of the 717 football teams in the state, 224 total teams are able to make the playoffs but less than 100 were awarded the academic honor, placing AC in the top 13% of the state academically. The entire team carried a 3.212 during the season, up from the team average 2.953 GPA in the spring of the 2018-2019 school year. The 20 varsity letter-men had a 3.486 average GPA, up from 2018's varsity letter-men 3.302 average GPA. These young men clearly showed how hard work in the classroom and on the playing field can both be accomplished, congratulations!

Every athlete grade 7-12 and parent will be required to attend the OHSAA meeting with Mr. Evans either Monday or Wednesday evening at 7pm in the cafeteria. All physicals and paperwork must be submitted on FinalForms before practice on August 1st!! See the link below for directions on how to complete forms with FinalForms:

Alex Smith was fortunate to be able to choose between multiple scholarship offers and decided to sign his National Letter of Intent to the University of Findlay. As with any individual achievement it takes many to help make it happen but we are very proud of him and our program that it was able to take place. Congratulations Alex!

2019 Football Calendar Completed!
January 16, 2019

The 2019 February-October football calendar is completed. Make sure to check out the Team 60 Calendar page for the month-by-month version as well as a full-year version.

Two very important dates are the mandatory Parent/Player Meeting on May 13th and helmet fitting on May 28th. If possible try and schedule vacations during the no-contact period (first two weeks of July). July camp practices are not mandatory but most install takes place at that time so missing will set your son behind. Contact Coach Daulton if you have any questions!

2018 Aces Earn Academic All-State
December 15, 2018

The 2018 Amanda-Clearcreek High School football team were not only one of just 32 teams to make the Division V playoffs, but they were one of less than 100 teams to be named Academic All-Ohio! Of the 717 football teams in the state, 224 total teams are able to make the playoffs but less than 100 were awarded the academic honor, placing AC in the top 13% of the state academically. The entire team carried a 3.253 during the season, up from the team average 3.014 GPA in the spring of the 2017-2018 school year. The 20 varsity letter-men had a 3.302 average GPA. These young men clearly showed how hard work in the classroom and on the playing field can both be accomplished, congratulations!
